History
The Pantages Theatre opened originally on June 4,1930 as a movie theatre. It was later sold from its owner Alexander Pantages to the Fox West Coast Theatre in 1949. Between the years of 1949 to 1959 the theatre hosted the American movie industries Academy Award shows. The theatre closed as a movie theatre in January,1977. The following month it opened with the theatre first on stage production with the musical Bubbling Brown Sugar. Since that day the Pantages theatre has been a popular place for musical and theatre lovers. Capacity The theatre can seat two thousand,seven hundred, and three people. Prices The ticket prices vary depending on where your sitting the price may $40-$300. |
